Bringing together technology, education, and culture, Türkiye’s Ministry of National Education has launched an innovative initiative that enables students to create their own animated films using artificial intelligence (AI).
The project marks the 1,500th anniversary of the birth of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and is expected to involve approximately 10,000 middle and high school students from across the country. Its goal is to move students beyond passive consumption of digital content and empower them to become creators. To support this, the program is structured around training, production, competition, and awards.
Open to students of all backgrounds, the initiative does not require prior technical experience. Participants will receive foundational training in AI-assisted content creation, including scriptwriting, visual design, music production, and animation.
According to the Education Ministry, the project goes beyond teaching technology. It also encourages students to think critically and engage with selected lessons from the life of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, helping them develop not only creative skills but also intellectual and cultural awareness.
Each student will be guided by a teacher throughout the process. Projects from successful participants will advance to a national competition, culminating in an awards ceremony in June. Students who demonstrate outstanding performance will be awarded an Umrah trip, adding a meaningful dimension to their achievement.
